Purchasing Department Responsibilities and Mission

The responsibility of the Purchasing Agent is to purchase all supplies, materials, and equipment, to contract for all repairs required or used by the County and to process all purchases made on competitive bid as necessary to comply with the Texas Local Government Code including, but not limited to: Chapter 262. The Purchasing Agent is also responsible for County property and inventory control.

 

It is the mission of this department to:
Provide the best service possible to all county departments in a fair and equitable manner.
Ensure an atmosphere of equality to all vendors without regard to undue influence or political pressure.
Protect the interests of the Parker County taxpayers in all expenditures by minimizing acquisition costs while meeting all statutory and budgetary requirements.
