Purchasing Department Responsibilities and Mission The responsibility of the Purchasing Agent is to purchase all supplies, materials, and equipment, to contract for all repairs required or used by the County and to process all purchases made on competitive bid as necessary to comply with the Texas Local Government Code including, but not limited to: Chapter 262. The Purchasing Agent is also responsible for County property and inventory control.
